About The Event
Have you ever wanted to play Robin Hood (minus the stealing?). Well, here is your chance!
Join us for this annual Work of Mercy to collect, sort and drop off clothing donations. ITE selects charities based on need and the criteria that they give clothing away and do not resell it. Members of St. Francis de Sales parish will have us busy for a few hours as they drop off what they do not need and we sort it out for the people who do. It is a win-win.
A hot lunch is provided for volunteers and you'll probably find some laughs along the way, too.
We need helpers throughout the day so come when you can and leave when you must. Every hand makes lighter work.
Volunteers can either help unload the cars dropping off donations or help sort through the donations to get the appropriate clothing to the appropriate charity. Additionally, volunteers can also help in bagging up the sorted clothing and loading it into vehicles that will drive them to nearby charities.
We also need volunteers with vehicles who can drop off donations at various locations throughout the day (this saves us and the locations from an end-of-day rush.) Locations are close to St. Francis de Sales and drop off times vary by hours of individual ministries.
Come volunteer with us and see what treasures you find!
This event is rain or shine! In the event of heavy rain, we will sort clothes in the school gym instead of outside at the pavilion.
